Job summary

Precruitment in Australia is seeking an experienced Front of House Supervisor to lead and develop our dining team across shifts in Cairns.

You will oversee guest service, cash handling, stock checks, deliveries, and compliance with hygiene standards while delivering outstanding customer experiences. This role demands strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Must have at least AQF Certificate IV and 12 months of relevant work experience.
• Outstanding customer service and guest engagement skills.
• Strong leadership and conflict-resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and train front-of-house staff, including induction and coaching.
• Provide hands-on support with customer service, food and beverage service and cleaning duties.
• Ensure all guests are greeted and served professionally, timely and warmly.
• Perform daily cash handling tasks including till reconciliation and end-of-day reports.
• Check and receive deliveries, ensuring quantity and quality of stock.
• Respond to customer complaints professionally and escalate when required.
• Assist with shift planning by identifying staffing needs based on expected volumes.
• Report equipment faults, maintenance needs or hazards to management.
• Ensure food handling and hygiene procedures are followed by all team members.
• Encourage a positive, team-oriented environment and lead by example.
• Demonstrate effective conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintain excellent verbal and written communication and multitask in a fast-paced setting.

The position will require you to perform the following tasks;

• Provide hands-on support with customer service, food and beverage service and cleaning duties
• Ensure all guests are greeted and served in a professional, timely and friendly manner.
• Perform daily cash handling tasks, including till reconciliation, float management, and end-of-day reports.
• Check and receive deliveries, ensuring the correct quantity and quality of stock received.
• Respond to customer complaints or concerns professionally and **escalate** when required.
• Assist with shift planning by identifying staffing needs based on expected customer volumes.
• Report any equipment faults, maintenance needs, or workplace hazards to management.
• Ensure food handling and hygiene procedures are followed by all team members.
• Encourage a positive, team-oriented working environment and lead by example during busy periods.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $70,000 to $80,000 per annum, negotiated based on your experience.
