Job summary

A. C. TRADERS PTY LTD is seeking a Shop Manager to lead operations for a café and fast-food business in Homebush West, NSW. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, increasing revenue, reducing costs and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Relevant retail management experience, preferably in cafe/fast-food or food retail.
• Diploma or higher qualification required.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
• Experience managing budgets, sales targets, operating expenses and financial performance.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills for interpreting sales and financial reports.
• Excellent staff management, rostering, training and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Flexibility to work according to business needs.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Regularly review sales results and customer preferences to decide items to offer or remove.
• Monitor stock usage and maintain quantities of coffee, beverages, food ingredients and supplies.
• Check stock deliveries and arrange further orders as needed.
• Negotiate with suppliers to control costs and ensure quality.
• Review costs and profitability and set/menu prices.
• Plan local promotions and loyalty initiatives to boost sales.
• Ensure consistency across in-store and online menus and promos.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve complaints.
• Provide information on products, ingredients, allergens and options.
• Keep accurate records of sales, purchases, stock movements and cash.
