Job summary

Fasta Pasta South Terrace in Adelaide seeks an experienced Café or Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, maintain high service standards, and lead a team in a busy dining environment. About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe or Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of Fasta Pasta South Terrace, Adelaide. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining efficient restaurant operations, delivering high-quality customer service, managing staff, and ensuring food and service standards are consistently maintained. The role requires strong hospitality experience, leadership capability, and a commitment to providing a welcoming dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating menus in consultation with the Chef, taking into account seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and the restaurant's menu offerings.
• Planning and organising special functions, group bookings, private events, and other restaurant activities.
• Arranging the purchasing and pricing of food, beverages, packaging, and other supplies in accordance with operational requirements and budgets.
• Monitoring stock levels, conducting stocktake, controlling wastage, and maintaining accurate records of inventory and financial transactions.
• Ensuring the restaurant, kitchen, dining areas, and service facilities comply with relevant health, hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness requirements.
• Monitoring customer satisfaction, responding to feedback and complaints, and implementing improvements to maintain high standards of food and service.
• Recruiting, training, supervising, and coordinating front-of-house and kitchen staff, including preparing rosters and monitoring staff performance.
• Managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff allocation, service coordination, and maintaining efficient workflow during busy periods.
• Greeting customers, taking reservations and orders, assisting staff during peak service periods, and ensuring customers receive prompt and courteous service.
• Monitoring sales, labour costs, food costs, and other operational expenses to support the restaurant's financial and business objectives.

Qualification, skill and Experience requirements

A relevant AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree or higher qualification in Hospitality is required.

Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time or part-time (pro rata) work experience in a managerial hospitality role is required.

Prior experience in hospitality management is a valuable asset.

A full South Australian driver's license is preferable.

Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus.

Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
