Job summary

Belgravia Leisure’s Stromlo Café is seeking a passionate Café Manager to lead the Stromlo Leisure Centre Café, driving commercial and operational success. You will manage a dedicated team, expand food and beverage offerings, and grow revenue across catering, events and more.

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing customer experience with business growth, and reporting to the Assistant Venue Manager while building a high-performing, customer-focused team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a hospitality or café leadership role.
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations and food safety requirements.
• Proven experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Commercial acumen with budgets, sales and profitability.
• Growth mindset focused on growth, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers, team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Grow the business: drive revenue growth, identify opportunities, expand offerings, monitor margins and profitability.
• Lead an incredible team: recruit, coach and develop high-performing staff, foster a positive culture, inspire service standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer experiences: ensure friendly, memorable interactions and maintain café presentation and cleanliness.
• Run a smooth operation: manage purchasing, stock control and inventory, ensure food safety and conduct quality checks.
