Belgravia Leisure’s Stromlo Café is seeking a passionate Café Manager to lead the Stromlo Leisure Centre Café, driving commercial and operational success. You will manage a dedicated team, expand food and beverage offerings, and grow revenue across catering, events and more.

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing customer experience with business growth, and reporting to the Assistant Venue Manager while building a high-performing, customer-focused team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a hospitality or café leadership role.
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations and food safety requirements.
• Proven experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Commercial acumen with budgets, sales and profitability.
• Growth mindset focused on growth, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers, team members and stakeholders.

About the Role

As our Café Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the commercial and operational success of the Stromlo Leisure Centre Café.

Reporting to the Assistant Venue Manager, you'll lead a dedicated team, oversee daily operations, expand food and beverage offerings, and identify exciting new opportunities to grow revenue across catering, events, birthday parties and more.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and gets excited about turning good ideas into great business outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

Growing the Business

• Drive revenue growth and achieve financial targets
• Identify new opportunities to increase customer spend
• Develop exciting food and beverage offerings
• Expand catering, events and birthday party revenue streams
• Monitor sales, margins, labour costs and profitability

Delivering Outstanding Customer Experiences

Running a Smooth Operation

• Manage purchasing, stock control and inventory
• Maintain food safety and compliance standards
• Conduct operational audits and quality checks

About You

You're more than an experienced café professional.

You're a leader, motivator, problem-solver and business thinker who knows how to balance customer experience with commercial success.

You'll bring:

• At least 3 years' experience in a hospitality or café leadership role
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations and food safety requirements
• Proven experience leading, coaching and developing teams
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
• Commercial acumen and confidence working with budgets, sales and profitability
• A proactive mindset focused on growth, innovation and continuous improvement
• The ability to build positive relationships with customers, team members and stakeholders
