The successful applicant will be responsible for managing café operations, supervising staff, coordinating front‑of‑house activities with the kitchen team, maintaining high customer service standards, and contributing to the operational and financial performance of the business.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the café, including front‑of‑house operations and coordination with the kitchen team.
Prepare staff rosters, allocate duties and monitor employee performance.
Manage purchasing and inventory control and liaise with suppliers.
Coordinate with the chef and kitchen team regarding menu planning, seasonal changes and pricing.
Implement cost‑control measures, minimise wastage and assist in maintaining appropriate profit margins.
Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety and relevant regulatory requirements.
Manage customer feedback and complaints and maintain high customer service standards.
Contribute to initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency, customer experience and business performance.
The successful applicant should have:
Demonstrated experience supervising and coordinating staff.
Experience preparing rosters and allocating staff duties.
Experience with stock control, purchasing and supplier management.
Understanding of food‑service operations, food safety and workplace requirements.
Strong communication, customer service and organisational skills.
Ability to monitor costs, sales and operational performance.
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage a busy hospitality environment.
Relevant hospitality or management qualifications will be regarded favourably.
