This position reports to the Lead Surveyor provides an opportunity to build foundational knowledge and practical experience in mine surveying, spatial data management and underground mining operations. Working closely with the Survey and Technical Services teams, the role will support day‑to‑day survey activities while developing technical capability through hands‑on experience, structured training and rotations across the Technical Services department. The position plays an important role in maintaining accurate survey information that supports mine planning, operational execution and reconciliation, while providing a strong pathway for professional development within the mining industry.
The successful candidate will ideally have some previous exposure to a mining environment or the resources industry, together with a basic understanding of surveying principles and spatial data management. Exposure to survey software or CAD systems would be advantageous. This is an entry‑level development opportunity, so a strong willingness to learn, develop technical capability and build a career within the mining industry is essential. The candidate should also demonstrate an ability to work effectively within a team, follow instructions, manage tasks and deadlines, and apply analytical and problem‑solving skills.
