This position reports to the Underground Superintendent and is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities across the underground team, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently and in alignment with site standards, QLD statutory requirements and Glencore policies. The role provides day?to?day supervision, supports planning and scheduling, drives maintenance quality and fosters a safe, high?performance team culture.
You will bring demonstrated supervisory experience within mining or heavy industry environments, supported by a strong understanding of Queensland mining statutory compliance requirements and safety management systems. You are a capable leader with proven people management skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to foster and maintain a positive safety culture. Your excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills allow you to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business, while your advanced problem solving and troubleshooting abilities enable you to identify practical solutions in complex operational environments. In addition, you have a high attention to detail, strong time management skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
