Glencore Mount Isa Mines is seeking a Planner – Maintenance to develop and coordinate maintenance plans, delivering weekly SAP schedules and coordinating resources to optimise asset reliability at the Mount Isa site.
You will drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements in a large-scale mining environment, partnering with maintenance teams and supervisors on short-term delivery.
Mount Isa Mines is currently advertising for a Planner –Maintenance. This role will see you become an integral part of team, living and working residentially with a working roster of 5/2/ 4/3 – 9-hour shift. This exciting opportunity will see you carry out plant maintenance planning with a focus on short term delivery. You will work with maintenance teams and supervisors to deliver effective maintenance plans, focusing on continuous improvements which adhere to compliance, regulatory, statutory, and legislative requirements.

Reporting to the Lead Planner – Zinc Lead Concentrator, you will play a key role in developing and coordinating maintenance plans that optimise asset reliability, equipment performance, and operational efficiency across the site. Working closely with maintenance supervisors and execution teams, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities, coordinating resources and materials, and ensuring work management processes are executed effectively. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support business performance targets, and uphold compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and safety requirements within a large-scale mining environment.
The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within a mining, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or similar asset-intensive environment. You will have a solid understanding of maintenance work management principles, including the development of weekly maintenance schedules, resource coordination, and work prioritisation to maximise equipment availability and reliability. Experience using SAP or a comparable Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with operational and maintenance teams to achieve business objectives. A sound understanding of mining legislation, compliance requirements, and a strong commitment to workplace health and safety will be highly regarded.
