Job summary

Creative Edge Cabinetry is a family-owned business in Mackay focused on delivering dream kitchens, bathrooms, and custom cabinetry for residential and commercial clients. This permanent full-time role is an essential, hands-on position that brings proven industry experience to our drafting board.

You will draft and estimate projects, prepare client-ready drawings, and generate accurate cutting lists for CNC production.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CabinetVision required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods and materials.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and estimating residential and commercial projects.
• Preparing detailed drawings for client approval and factory construction.
• Producing accurate cutting lists and information for CNC production.
• Reading and interpreting architectural plans, specifications and scopes.
• Completing site measures when required.
• Liaising with clients, builders, suppliers and the production team.
• Assisting with project management from initial quoting through to production and installation.
• Ensuring drawings, specifications and pricing are accurate before jobs enter production.

About the role

This is an essential, hands-on role within our operation. We are looking for someone ready to dive in and get things rolling, bringing their proven industry experience straight to our drafting board.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting and estimating residential and commercial projects
• Preparing detailed drawings for client approval and factory construction
• Producing accurate cutting lists and information for CNC production
• Reading and interpreting architectural plans, specifications and scopes
• Completing site measures when required
• Liaising directly with clients, builders, suppliers and our production team
• Assisting with project management from initial quoting through to production and installation
