Job summary

Belleview Kitchens in Melbourne is seeking an experienced joinery professional to lead from design through to production documentation for bespoke kitchens, wardrobes and related joinery packages for high-end homes.

You will develop detailed shop drawings and production drawings, prepare estimates, and liaise with builders, architects and clients to ensure designs are accurate and manufacture-ready. CabMaster experience is essential.

Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced joinery professional who understands both design and manufacturing and can confidently take a project from architectural drawings and client requirements through to accurate estimating and detailed production documentation. You will work on bespoke kitchens, butler's pantries, wardrobes, vanities, studies, entertainment units, mudrooms and other custom joinery packages for high-end residential homes.

Key responsibilities

Develop detailed and accurate shop drawings and production drawings for bespoke residential joinery.

Produce plans, elevations, sections, details and construction drawings for manufacture.

Interpret architectural drawings, interior design documentation and specifications.

Prepare accurate estimates, quotations and material take-offs for custom joinery projects.

Measure and price cabinetry, hardware, finishes, accessories and associated materials.

Review drawings and documentation to identify design, dimensional and manufacturing issues before production.

Liaise with builders, architects, interior designers, clients, suppliers and installers throughout the project.

Work closely with the factory and production team to ensure designs are practical, buildable and manufactured accurately.

Prepare cutting lists, production information and manufacturing documentation.

Select and specify suitable materials, finishes, hardware and cabinetry systems.

About you

Minimum 3 years' experience in joinery drafting, cabinet making, cabinetry or a related field.

Strong practical understanding of cabinet construction and manufacturing.

Proven experience producing detailed joinery and cabinetry shop drawings.

CabMaster experience is essential.

Strong experience in joinery estimating and quoting.

Experience working on high-end residential or bespoke custom homes.

Ability to interpret architectural and interior design drawings and translate them into detailed joinery documentation.

Strong knowledge of cabinetry materials, hardware, finishes and construction methods.

Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.

Strong communication skills and the ability to confidently liaise with builders, architects, designers, suppliers and clients.
