Job summary

Advanced Rigging is seeking a C6 licensed Crane Operator to support structural steel erection on industrial projects across the Perth metro area. Reporting to the construction manager, you will operate cranes and coordinate with riggers to ensure safe, efficient execution.

You will maintain records, follow safety regulations, and contribute to improved rigging procedures while working with a dedicated team committed to quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of crane operator experience in Perth construction.

C6 Crane Operator - Structural Steel Erection

As a Crane Operator at Advanced Rigging you will play a crucial role in the success of our project delivery. Reporting to the construction manager, you will be responsible for crane operation and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of the structural steel erection component of industrial projects across the Perth metro area.

What you'll be doing

• Cooperate with a team of riggers to perform structural steel erection tasks
• Ensure all crane and rigging operations are carried out in compliance with relevant safety regulations and best practices
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Liaise with the site supervisor and other construction team members to plan and execute rigging work in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain accurate records of crane activities, including incident and maintenance reports, and equipment inspections
• Contribute to the development and implementation of improved rigging procedures and techniques

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience (5+ years) as a crane operator in the Perth construction industry
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively work within a team
• Thorough understanding of crane operation, rigging equipment, lifting techniques, and safety protocols
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address rigging challenges
• Effective communication skills to liaise with both the construction crew and project management
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
• Applicant is required to hold a C6 license
• Applicant is required to hold a current white card
• Applicant must hold a current HR drivers license
• Applicant must have completed safe working at heights training
• Applicant is required to hold current WP high risk licence
• Applicant is required to hold current RI or above high risk licence
• Applicant is required to hold a Safe Tilt-Up Work ticket
