Job summary

MSS Security Pty Ltd is a leading Australian security provider with a national footprint. The role sits in the Defence portfolio, collaborating with a committed, customer-focused team to deliver high standards of service.

You will manage workforce planning, support recruitment, and monitor service delivery to ensure contract compliance and performance. A strong emphasis on process improvement and risk management is evident throughout this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in defence or similarly regulated environments.
• Experience in rostering, labour planning and forecasting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication tailored to audience.
• Strong administrative skills including documentation and reporting.
• People management, coaching and performance management.
• Experience drafting standard operating procedures and audits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workforce management to meet contract requirements.
• Support recruitment to ensure a ready pool of cleared personnel.
• Monitor service delivery for quality and contract compliance.
• Address non-performance and drive service improvements.
• Prepare contract service delivery reports and data analyses.
• Assist Regional Manager with Contract Change Proposals.
• Undertake procurement to support service delivery.
• Compile site risk registers and identify risk reduction opportunities.
• Contribute to IMS implementation and business continuity planning.

About the role

The position is primarily responsible for the Defence portfolio, in which you will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team.

You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Workforce management to ensure service delivery complies with contract requirements
• Support for recruitment to ensure a pool of security-cleared personnel to underpin anticipated workforce demands and surge requirements
• Service delivery monitoring ensuring MSS Security meet quality (compliance and conformance) and performance requirements
• Resolution of service delivery non-performance, non-compliance, and non-conformance issues, including development of service delivery improvement and innovation initiatives
• Data collation and preparation of contract service delivery reports
• Support the Regional Manager with Contract Change Proposals
• Undertake procurement to support service delivery
• Collate site-specific Risk Registers and identify opportunities to reduce risk
• Contribute to the regional IMS implementation, business system improvements, the Business Improvement Plan, and the regional Business Continuity Plan.

Skills & experience

• Experience working within defence or other industries with a similarly complex regulatory framework
• Workforce management including rostering, labour planning and operational demand forecasting
• Strong communication skills with capacity for adaption according to audience.
• Administrative competence including systems, correspondence, time management, document control and reporting.
• People management skills including expectations, coaching / mentoring, performance management, disciplinary matters, succession planning and employee retention.
• Experience drafting standard operating procedures and auditing against such systems.

Qualifications

• Victoria Security Licence
• Must be an Australian citizen, eligible for AGSVA clearance / DCAC.
• Cert IV or higher in Leadership, Management or equivalent discipline, or willingness to complete.
