Responsibilities

• Conduct foot patrols to ensure safety and security of the building.
• Monitor and control access for authorised individuals only.
• Oversee CCTV systems and respond to security threats.
• Provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff.
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies.

About the role

MSS Security is seeking Security Officers who hold or are eligible for a Positing Vetting Clearance to join our team in Melbourne and Sydney. We have positions available at a high-profile data centre, with sponsorship available for candidates who do not yet hold a clearance. Onsite parking is available once clearance is obtained and the successful candidate is placed at the new site, with the exception of City-based sites. Employees holding a Positive Vetting Clearance will receive a competitive allowance of up to $20,000 per year.

Duties

• Conducting foot patrols, ensuring people are safe and the building is secure.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorised individuals enter.
• Oversee CCTV systems to detect and respond to security threats.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors with inquiries.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents or emergencies.

Requirements

• Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Hold a current AGSVA Positive Vetting Clearance or willing to obtain.
• Valid Victorian/New South Wales Security Licence.
• Valid Victorian/New South Wales Drivers Licence.
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates or willing to obtain.
• 24/7 Availability to work a rotating roster.
• Ability to walk up to 15,000 steps per shift as part of routine patrols.
• Must be able to supply background information including (but not limited to) referees, past addresses, overseas travel, education etc.
