Job summary

The Add Staff Group's Sydney client, a long‑standing national electrical and engineering group, seeks a Business Development Manager for Water/Waste Water. You will drive growth across water, wastewater, utilities and infrastructure, secure end‑to‑end supply and installation opportunities, and nurture key accounts with plans developed with the General Manager.

The role combines contracting insight with HV switchgear knowledge, requiring strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to win tenders

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years local sales and BD experience in water/infrastructure.
• Contracting and systems integration background.
• Experience in switchboard and packaged electrical solutions.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with clients and suppliers.
• Intimate knowledge of HV switchgear, transformers and protection systems.
• Solid understanding of Electrical Safety Act and AS3000:2007.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure opportunities for automation systems and electrical packages.
• Maintain and develop current customer portfolio to meet sales targets.
• Market the company and its services while nurturing client relationships.
• Identify tender opportunities and participate in bid/no bid processes.
• Assist estimating in tender preparation and submissions.
• Work closely with supply chain partners.
• Follow up and negotiate tenders.
• Support project teams to deliver projects profitably.
