SMEC is seeking a Manager – Water Infrastructure, Sydney to lead the water practice in Sydney and own the business growth. You will drive high‑level project delivery and strategic client engagement, while building a capable team and managing performance.

With 10+ years in water infrastructure and a Chartered Engineer, you will shape proposals, budgets and reports to meet quality standards and client expectations, positioning SMEC for ongoing regional expansion.

Qualifications

• Chartered Professional Engineer.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
• 10+ years’ professional industry experience in Water Infrastructure.
• Experience delivering technical projects within a consultancy environment.
• Ability to prepare successful proposals with the correct scope and budget.
• Ability to submit technical reports to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Identifying, winning and delivering water infrastructure projects.
• Contributing to the growth of the team through targeted client relationship management and business development activity.
• Managing the commercial performance of the team.
• Effectively leading the team to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development.
• Providing input to projects at a project management and/or review level to achieve reliable project performance in terms of timeliness and quality.
