Scania Finance Australia is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive finance and insurance growth across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia. Based in Victoria, you will tailor finance solutions, manage a profitable portfolio and promote Scania’s total transport solutions.

You will cultivate strong customer relationships, convert leads, present creditworthy applications, and collaborate with Scania Australia Account Managers to achieve growth targets.

Formación

• Experience in asset finance and dealer finance context.
• Strong financial analysis skills including P/L and balance sheet.
• Proven ability to build and manage customer relationships.
• Identifying growth opportunities and business development strategies.
• Knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry is advantageous.
• Banking/financial services processing experience is preferred.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in driving new finance and insurance business for Scania Finance Australia across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia. Based in Victoria, this role will deliver tailored finance solutions that meet customer needs while building and managing a profitable portfolio. You will focus on maximising conversion opportunities, fostering strong customer relationships (internal and external) and promoting the value of Scania’s total transport solutions to support business growth across the region.

• Prospect and increase the number of new business leads
• Maximize conversion to new business and promote total transport solution selling
• Apply your financial analysis expertise to prepare and present creditworthy applications for customer finance facilities
• Develop and implement effective sales plans and strategies
• Prepare and deliver sales performance reports
• Drive portfolio expansion while ensuring profitability targets are met
• Collaborate closely with Scania Australia Account Managers, the sales team, and management
• Engage with Scania customers to negotiate finance arrangements to suit their needs
• Provide exceptional customer first approach internally and externally

Who You Are

To be successful as the Business Development Manager, you'll have:

• Experience in asset finance (Business Manager/F&I Dealership experience advantageous)
• Financial Analysis experience (Ability to read and understand Profit/Loss & Balance Sheet)
• Able to build strong customer relationships
• Identify opportunities for growth and business development
• Relevant business knowledge and experience gained from financial services sectorKnowledge of the commercial vehicle industry will be highly regarded
• Banking/Financial Services (loan/lease) processing experience (preferred but not essential)
