Job summary

Central Coast Mariners FC is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to generate new commercial revenue, focusing on corporate hospitality and matchday experiences. You will identify prospects, build a strong sales pipeline and drive revenue targets in collaboration with the Head of Commercial & Consumer Business.

The role involves presenting tailored proposals, leading negotiations, and growing partner investment in partnership with the commercial servicing team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, corporate hospitality, partnerships or a related commercial role.
• Proven ability to generate new leads, manage a sales pipeline and deliver revenue targets or KPIs.
• Experience developing commercial proposals and presenting to prospective clients.
• Strong negotiation and client relationship-management skills.
• Availability to attend club match days, corporate events including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, approach and convert new business prospects.
• Drive sales of corporate hospitality, matchday experiences and event packages.
• Build and manage a sales pipeline, reporting regularly on activity, conversion and revenue against targets.
• Develop tailored proposals and presentations that meet client needs and deliver commercial value for the Club.
• Lead sales conversations and negotiations from initial contact through to agreement.
• Identify opportunities to increase existing partner investment with the commercial servicing team.
• Deliver KPIs and revenue targets in line with annual budgets.
• Attend business and networking events, including Club hospitality, to build relationships and prospects.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, client interactions, proposals and sales progress.
• Work with colleagues to ensure proposed hospitality and partnership benefits are deliverable.
