ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join a specialist civil infrastructure contractor, renowned for delivering complex bridge structure solutions across Australia. This is a pivotal role driving the growth of their bridge division, with a focus on major transport infrastructure projects.

Main Duties

• Represent the company’s bridge structure capabilities to key clients, including government agencies, asset owners, and engineering consultancies.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across transport and infrastructure sectors.
• Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with clients and JV partners.
• Understand technical bridge construction methods, including precast segmental, incremental launch, and cast in-situ, and promote these capabilities to the market.
• Work closely with the estimating and delivery teams to assist with tenders, project scopes, and technical presentations.
• Support collaboration efforts under alliance and joint venture contract models, maintaining a strong presence in the bidding and negotiation process.
• Meet agreed KPIs while working autonomously and strategically across the eastern seaboard.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction, or business are desirable.
• Proven business development or sales experience in the civil infrastructure sector (preferably bridges or structural packages).
• Strong understanding of the infrastructure market in Australia, with established client networks highly regarded.
• Commercial acumen and ability to engage effectively with decision-makers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel interstate as required.
• Salary package up to $160-190K + super + vehicle, depending on experience.
• Work with a forward-thinking, collaborative contractor delivering high-impact infrastructure.
• Lead the growth of a specialist division with strong technical backing.
• Long-term career pathway within a stable and growing organisation.
