Job summary

AML Group Transport is an established NSW transport company specialising in refrigerated and frozen-food distribution, including temperature-controlled transport down to -18°C. We operate a growing fleet and provide reliable transport services throughout Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle, regional NSW and interstate.

This senior business-development role targets new clients across food manufacturing, distribution, retail, pharma and government transport tenders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated business-development or senior sales experience in transport, logistics, cold chain, food distribution or 3PL.
• Proven record of securing substantial commercial accounts.
• Existing relationships within the food, FMCG, refrigerated-transport or supply-chain sectors.
• Strong understanding of transport pricing, margins and operational requirements.
• Experience preparing proposals and responding to tenders.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and be accountable for measurable results.
• Focus on securing sustainable and profitable work.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure profitable refrigerated and frozen-transport contracts.
• Develop a strong pipeline of qualified business opportunities.
• Build relationships with manufacturers, distributors, procurement teams and supply-chain decision-makers.
• Prepare professional proposals, presentations and tender submissions.
• Negotiate rates and commercial terms in consultation with management.
• Work closely with operations to ensure new contracts can be delivered safely and profitably.
• Maintain strong relationships with newly acquired clients.
• Monitor market opportunities, competitors and industry developments.
• Provide regular reporting on prospects, proposals and secured revenue.

This is a senior business-development position for an experienced transport professional with strong industry knowledge, established commercial relationships and a proven ability to win new business. The successful candidate will identify, approach and secure new clients across industries including food manufacturing and distribution, frozen and chilled products, foodservice and hospitality supply, supermarkets and retail distribution, meat, seafood and fresh produce, pharmaceutical and temperature-controlled products, third-party logistics and cold storage, and government and commercial transport tenders.

Key responsibilities
