Zarraffa’s Coffee is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across its franchise network. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will work with the Operations team to support franchisees, improve profitability, and deliver operational excellence across stores.

About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will work closely with the Operations team to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives across the network. The primary objective of this role is to support both existing and prospective franchisees in driving business growth, improving profitability, and achieving operational excellence. This will be achieved through building strong relationships with key stakeholders, developing and monitoring store-specific KPIs, conducting business and operational reviews, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing coaching and mentoring to franchisees and store managers.
Travel extensively to allocated stores across Australia to build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective franchisees and store leadership teams.
Analyse store financial performance, monitor key metrics, and implement strategies to drive sales growth, profitability, and operational success.
Review customer feedback and satisfaction data to identify improvement opportunities and enhance customer experience.
Champion and uphold Zarraffa's brand standards, ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional customer experiences across the network.
Drive customer-focused initiatives that increase loyalty, retention, and long-term business growth.
Ensure compliance and strong governance across all aspects of store operations.
Identify, manage, and mitigate operational risks to support business continuity and performance.
Act as the key link between stores and the Operations team, facilitating clear, timely, and effective communication.
Collaborate cross-functionally to implement best practices and improve overall business performance.
Coach, mentor, and develop franchisees, store managers, and leadership teams to build capability and drive results.
Leverage data and insights to provide recommendations, influence decision-making, and support strategic planning.
Our Ideal Candidate:
5+ years' leadership experience in the QSR industry.
2+ years' experience as a BDM within a franchised business.
Strong financial and commercial acumen.
Proven ability to drive sales and profitability.
Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
Data-driven approach to decision-making.
Highly organised with strong time management skills.
Current driver's licence.
Ability and willingness to travel regularly to stores across Australia.
