Job summary

Mantra Melbourne Epping, located just north of the CBD, seeks a Business Development Manager to drive account management and new business opportunities regionally. You will build relationships with clients and proactively secure revenue growth through targeted sales initiatives.

The ideal candidate has outstanding interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset to spot market trends, and a solid understanding of hotel platforms. Hospitality experience is highly desirable.

Featuring a collection of contemporary hotel rooms, one and two bedroom apartments, state of the art conference facilities for up to 500 delegates and the signature Trader Café and Republic Tavern Brewpub featuring Australian cuisine available throughout the day.

Purpose

As the Business Development Manager you are responsible for account management of existing clients and for the development of new business opportunities through building relationships and proactive sales initiatives. The position will identify revenue opportunities and undertake direct sales activity to convert business.

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the region for Mantra Melbourne Epping covering all market segments
• Increase the level of sales and business mix for individual clients, maximizing on every opportunity across all markets
• Research and define new revenue generating niche markets
• Establish a high profile across the region and with key accounts
• Creation of local account footprint for Mantra Melbourne Epping and to understand the key revenue drivers
• Develop and maintain strong, loyal relationships with existing accounts, within a highly competitive market
