Job summary

Funktion Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across Victoria and beyond in the coding, marking and labelling arena. You will build lasting customer relationships with manufacturers and production facilities, visit sites to uncover challenges, and propose end-to-end solutions from equipment to software and service.

Ideal candidates bring proven B2B sales in industrial printing, a track record selling capital equipment, strong relationship

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience in coding, marking, labelling or industrial printing.
• Experience selling capital equipment and complete machine solutions.
• Knowledge of Print & Apply, CIJ, TIJ, Thermal Transfer Printing or industrial label printing.
• A genuine ability to build relationships and win new business.
• Confidence working with production managers, engineers and procurement teams.
• Commercial, solutions-focused mindset to turn opportunities into results.
• Current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.

• Developing new business opportunities and growing Funktion's presence across Victoria and interstate.
• Building lasting relationships with manufacturers, food producers and production facilities.
• Visiting customer sites to understand production challenges and identify opportunities.
• Recommending complete coding, marking and labelling solutions, from equipment and automation through to software, consumables and ongoing service.
• Managing opportunities from initial conversation and quotation through to installation and long-term support.
• Working alongside our technical service team to deliver practical solutions and great customer outcomes.

What you'll be doing

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who knows this industry and can hit the ground running.

• Previous sales experience in coding, marking, labelling or industrial printing.
• Experience selling capital equipment and complete machine solutions, not just consumables.
• Knowledge of technologies such as Print & Apply, CIJ, TIJ, Thermal Transfer Printing or industrial label printing.
• A genuine ability to build relationships, identify opportunities and win new business.
• Confidence working with production managers, engineers, procurement teams and business owners.
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset and the commercial drive to turn opportunities into results.
• A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Experience with brands including Zebra, Honeywell, Domino, Markem-Imaje, Videojet, Linx, Carl Valentin, ARCA, Evolabel, KBA, SATO, Toshiba or CAB would be highly regarded.
