Job summary

Ligentia Group seeks a driven Business Development Manager to lead growth across our Oceania footprint. You will win new customers in freight forwarding, 3PL warehousing, and customs, then build multi-service partnerships that create supply chain value.

About

Ligentia (Member of ASYAD Group) is a global supply chain solutions provider delivering integrated logistics across ocean, air, customs, 3PL/4PL warehousing and inland transport. As we scale our Oceania footprint post Asyad Acquisition, we're growing our regional sales team — and we're looking for a driven, hunter-focused Business Development Manager to help lead that growth.

This is a self-starting, new-business role available in our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane location. You'll canvass and win new customers across freight forwarding, 3PL warehousing, customs and transport, then build genuine, multi-service partnerships that create real supply chain value for your clients whilst continuing to hunt and build.

What you'll be doing:

• Proactively identifying, pursuing and closing new business across our full-service offering
• Owning the full sales cycle — from needs assessment & qualification, through to proposal, negotiation, close & implementation support
• Building a self-generated pipeline through networking, referrals and targeted outreach
• Growing existing accounts through cross-sell and up-sell across the service portfolio
• Partnering with Operations, Account Management, Customer Service & Solution Design to deliver seamless outcomes - Representing Ligentia at industry events and building your network

What you'll bring:

• 5+ experience in freight & logistics or freight forwarding sales, experience in other functions such as customer service and key account management additionally is highly regarded
• A collaborative team-approach mentality
• Proven success winning and growing multi-service accounts across multiple industry verticals
• Proficient with CRM and Microsoft Office Suite products
• Strong commercial acumen and executive presence, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders
• Highly organised and self-driven, with CRM experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Activity in the market place and willingness to attend and represent Ligentia at key industry events during the year
• Australian driver's license and willingness to travel interstate for work
• A self-driven, resilient approach to a fast-paced, competitive market
