Hustle in Australia-based, flexible/remote mode is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Lead to accelerate growth for a social-first creative agency. You will own the mid-range new business pipeline, manage inbound opportunities, and build a proactive outbound program, collaborating with senior leadership while maintaining autonomy.
The role requires ~4–5 years agency-side new business experience, full sales cycle ownership, and credible relationships with brands.
An established independent social-first creative agency is looking for a commercially driven, relationship-focused Business Development Lead to support its next stage of growth.
This is a hands‑on individual contributor role for someone with around four to five years of agency‑side new business experience. You’ll manage qualified inbound opportunities from the initial conversation through to signed retainer, while building a proactive outbound program focused on brands the agency genuinely wants to work with.
This isn’t a high‑volume or aggressive sales environment. The agency takes a considered approach to growth, with a strong focus on building long‑term relationships and finding the right client partnerships.
You’ll take ownership of the agency’s mid‑range new business pipeline, working closely with senior leadership while operating with a high level of autonomy.
An administrative resource handles entry‑level enquiries, allowing this role to focus on qualified opportunities and proactive business development.
You’re likely working in business development, new business, partnerships or agency growth within a social, creative, digital, content or advertising agency.
You don’t need to be a Sales Director or Head of Growth. This opportunity will suit someone ready to take greater ownership of a new business function while remaining close to the day‑to‑day work.
The role is flexible and can be performed remotely from within Australia, working Australian business hours.
Regular in‑person attendance will be required for meetings in Melbourne and Sydney, with occasional travel as the agency continues to grow.
The base salary is $100,000–$115,000 plus an uncapped commission structure, depending on experience.
The commission component discussed with shortlisted candidates.
If you’re an agency new business professional who knows how to turn strong relationships into commercial opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.
Further information about the agency will be shared with suitable candidates during the recruitment process.
