Job summary

Te Tāhū o te Ture – the Ministry of Justice, Wellington, is leading Te Au Reka, a major programme to modernise how courts and tribunals operate across Aotearoa New Zealand.

We seek a detail-oriented Business Analyst to capture and translate business needs into high-quality requirements and user stories, supporting successful process improvement and technology delivery in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience eliciting, analysing, documenting and managing business requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Experience representing business views with vendors.
• Delivery of digital solutions in Agile environments.
• Understanding of government processes and Te Reo Māori is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into clear user stories.
• Develop acceptance criteria and backlog refinement.
• Prioritise and refine user stories for build.
• Analyse current and future business processes and identify improvements.
• Support evaluation of solution options and change impact.
