Job summary

The Commercial Analyst role within the Department of Communities and Justice NSW focuses on managing Organisational data, government reporting requirements, and stakeholder commitments to support housing objectives.

The position involves hands-on data analysis, system data harmonization (Salesforce, Fulcrum, SAP/My Work Zone), and small project delivery, with opportunities for governance and reporting across channels.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills and experience in data analysis.
• Experience with Salesforce will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage integrity and accuracy of property portfolio data for business performance.
• Perform hands-on data analysis using Excel or other appropriate tools.
• Contribute to planning, reporting and governance activities (business plans, annual reports, asset management, board reporting).
• Harmonize data across systems (Salesforce, Fulcrum, SAP/My Work Zone).
• Support Salesforce and related business systems, including issue triage and coordination with support teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to investigate data issues, test enhancements and implement improvements.
• Prepare regular reports and data responses for external stakeholders, including government agencies and Ministerial offices.
• Assist with the annual portfolio valuation program and reporting requirements.

Your role

The Commercial Analyst develops and contributes to managing Organisational data, government reporting requirements, stakeholder commitments to support the achievement of Teacher and Police Housing’s objectives. The role is also responsible for managing and delivering small scale projects independently.

What you’ll do

• Manage the integrity and accuracy of property portfolio data for Teacher and Police Housing to help assessment of business performance and informed decision making.
• Hands-on data analysis of business situations and changes using Excel spreadsheet techniques or any data analysis tool as appropriate when required.
• Contribute to strategic planning, reporting and governance activities, including business plans, annual reports, asset management plans, board reporting and other corporate reporting requirements.
• Harmonize data across systems used by Teacher and Police Housing, mainly Salesforce, Fulcrum, SAP/My Work Zone and any other system which may arise from time to time.
• Manage and support Salesforce and related business systems, including issue triage, troubleshooting and coordination with support teams.
• Work with stakeholders to investigate system and data issues, test enhancements and implement continuous improvements.
• Prepare and communicate regular reports, briefings and data responses for external stakeholders, including government agencies, Ministerial offices and the Teacher Housing Authority Board.
• Assist with the annual portfolio valuation program, ensuring the timely delivery of valuation outcomes, stakeholder engagement, quality assurance and reporting requirements.
