Job summary

Australiance, the Australian subsidiary of a global industrial group, seeks a standalone Financial Controller in Brisbane. You will own the full finance function on the ground, reporting to the APAC Regional CFO, and play a hands-on role without a predefined playbook.

Based in Brisbane with fortnightly to monthly travel to Townsville, you will lead month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and lead the upcoming statutory audit while transitioning the ERP from Xero to a more

Qualifications

5+ years in financial control, FP&A or audit/industry finance in a standalone/SME environment.
CPA or CA qualification (Australia) preferred.
Strong experience preparing financial statements, managing audits, and owning month-end close.
Comfortable with Xero; ERP transition experience a strong plus.
Based in Brisbane with travel to Townsville.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly and annual financial statements; manage year-end close with external accountants.
Lead annual budgets, 3-year forecasts, and monthly Group reporting submissions.
Run variance analysis and provide financial commentary to the MD and Regional CFO.
Oversee cash flow, banking relationships and working capital.
Coordinate the upcoming statutory audit and ensure Australian compliance.
Drive the transition from Xero to a more robust ERP as the business grows.
Partner with operations on cost control, project financials and business plans.
