Job summary

Brisbane-based Accounts Payable Officer sought for an initial 3-month contract with potential extension. The role focuses on end-to-end AP in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payments.

You'll work closely with the finance team, handle supplier reconciliations, payment runs, and occasional payroll support, contributing to broader finance operations during the busy year period.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an end-to-end Accounts Payable role.
• Exposure to high-volume transaction processing.
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a complex business with multiple locations is preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management and supplier communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Payroll exposure will be highly regarded but is not essential for this contract.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end accounts payable processing
• Supplier account maintenance and management
• Matching invoices to purchase orders and contracts
• Processing invoices, credit notes and employee reimbursements
• Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution
• Payment runs, banking uploads and remittance processing
• Credit card reconciliations and expense reporting
• Maintaining accurate creditor balances and aged payables
• Assisting with cashflow forecasting and payment planning
• Supporting process improvement and AP automation initiatives
• Providing payroll support across fortnightly payroll cycles when required
