Job summary

KMS Bookkeeping Solutions Pty Ltd – Cessnock NSW is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to manage client accounts from day-to-day processing through to reporting. You will oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate processing, reconciliations, payroll, BAS/GST and monthly reporting while maintaining high service levels.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, strong knowledge of Australian GST and payroll, and proficiency in Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks, plus solid Excel

Qualifications

• 3+ years' bookkeeping experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian bookkeeping, GST and payroll requirements.
• Advanced working knowledge of Xero/MYOB and Quickbooks.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Xero certification, payroll experience and BAS preparation experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients from day-to-day processing through to reporting.
• Processing and reconciling accounts accurately and efficiently.
• Bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Payroll, STP and superannuation processing.
• BAS and GST preparation.
• Month-end processing and financial reporting.
• Identifying discrepancies and resolving issues before they become problems.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records.
• Communicating directly with clients and providing practical bookkeeping support.
• Assisting clients with bookkeeping systems, processes and software.
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently and within required deadlines.
