Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of proven bookkeeping experience within an Australian accounting or public practice.
• Must be a Xero Certified Advisor.
• Familiarity with XPM and Xero Tax is essential.
• Hands-on experience handling ASIC agent portal duties and corporate compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently and in-office for collaboration or client meetings.
• Strong research skills and a proactive approach to AI tools for automation.

Responsibilities

• Manage client bookkeeping files, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Handle supplier invoices, customer billing, and debtor/creditor reconciliations.
• Process end-to-end payroll, calculate superannuation payments, and manage STP.
• Prepare and lodge quarterly BAS and IAS for clients.
• Prepare periodic financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and basic budgeting support.
• Ensure all client work complies with Australian tax and regulatory standards.
• Act as or manage ASIC agent tasks, company registrations, annual statements, and corporate compliance updates.
