Job summary

Sleek Australia is seeking an Accountant to deliver BAS lodgements, maintain clean records, and provide clients with clear financial insights. You will be the go-to person for clients’ accounting needs, communicating clearly throughout the engagement.

You will handle BAS and IAS lodgements, keep full sets of accounts across client portfolios in Xero and Dext, manage payables/receivables, support payroll, and collaborate with tax and bookkeeping teams to ensure accuracy and compliance under

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as an Accountant within Australian accounting.
• Excellent communication (verbal & written) with clients.
• Experience preparing corporate tax returns is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS; reconcile GST and payroll liabilities.
• Maintain full sets of accounts across client portfolios using cloud systems (Xero, Dext).
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable; ensure invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with bookkeeping and tax teams to ensure ledger accuracy and smooth operations.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports with clear client insights.
• Provide payroll support and maintain client communications as the go-to accounting advisor.
• Manage client relationships end-to-end with Australian SME owners.
