Job summary

Indiana Advisory is a modern, tech-savvy accounting firm seeking a Bookkeeper to work from home in Sydney with a provided laptop. Your focus will be bank reconciliations, processing supplier bills, and tracking payments, while building strong client relationships.

You will perform reconciliations in Xero, process Dext bills, and keep fixed assets and general ledger aligned, along with preparing activity statements. Flexible hours and remote setup are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping with Xero is required.
• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently from home.
• Experience with Google Sheets is a plus, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations in Xero.
• Process bills from Dext into Xero and monitor bills awaiting payment.
• Register assets in fixed assets register and ensure assets reconcile to the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly & quarterly activity statement reports in Xero.
• Send clear, professional bank reconciliation queries to clients and monitor the bookkeeping inbox.

The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Bookkeeper to join our friendly team. Your main focus will be bank reconciliations, processing supplier bills, and keeping on top of awaiting payments — all while building great relationships with our clients so we get the documents and information we need, when we need it.

What You’ll Do

• Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations in Xero
• Process bills from Dext into Xero and keep a close eye on bills in awaiting payment
• Register assets in fixed assets register and ensure fixed assets reconcile to general ledger
• Prepare monthly & quarterly activity statement reports in Xero
• Send clear, professional bank reconciliation queries to clients while monitoring the bookkeeping inbox

What We’re Looking For

• Bookkeeping experience in Xero
• Eye for detail and a passion for accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently from home
• Experience in Google Sheets is nice but not essential — training provided
