Job summary

RittWatchman & Associates is seeking a friendly and proactive Bookkeeper to join our growing accounting practice in Adelaide. You will manage bookkeeping for a variety of small to medium businesses, using Xero and cloud accounting systems, while building strong relationships with clients.

The role goes beyond data entry, offering field visits, networking, and input into how we build and grow our bookkeeping division within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience.
• Xero experience highly regarded.
• Friendly and approachable with clients.
• Willingness to network and meet business owners.

Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of small to medium businesses.
• Perform bank reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll and other tasks.
• Meet clients and build strong relationships.
• Visit clients at their premises and attend networking events.
• Identify opportunities to improve clients' systems and processes.
• Help grow the bookkeeping division.

BOOKKEEPER WANTED – More Than Just Numbers!

Are you a bookkeeper who loves people as much as you love balancing the books?

We’re looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and personable Bookkeeper to join our growing accounting practice — and this role is a little different from your typical bookkeeping job!

We’re building our bookkeeping division and we want someone who is excited about being part of that journey.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be much more than a data-entry machine!

You’ll work with a variety of small and medium-sized businesses, helping them get their finances organised and making their bookkeeping easier.

Your role will include:

• Working with Xero and cloud accounting systems
• Bank reconciliations, accounts payable & receivable
• Payroll and other bookkeeping tasks
• Meeting clients and building great relationships
• Getting out of the office and visiting clients at their premises
• Attending networking events and meeting other business owners
• Identifying opportunities to help clients improve their systems and processes
• Helping us build and grow our bookkeeping division

And because we're growing, there will be plenty of opportunity for you to have input into how we do things and where we take the bookkeeping side of the business.

Who are we looking for?

We’re not looking for someone who just wants to sit quietly behind a computer all day.

You’ll need at least 2 years' bookkeeping experience, with Xero experience highly regarded.
