Job summary

Baltic Group is seeking experienced Boilermakers to join our shutdown crew for CHPP maintenance across the Bowen Basin. The role offers continuous work with competitive rates, travel from Mackay to site, and a work vehicle provided from our workshop to site.

Ideal candidates hold a Boilermaker trade certificate, current coal board medical, and a valid driver’s licence, with site inductions and other safety certifications highly valued.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in Boilermaking is required.
• Current driver’s licence is essential.
• Coal Board Medical must be valid.
• Standard 11 ticket is required.
• Site inductions are desirable.
• Gas Test Atmosphere certification is desirable.
• Working at Heights certification is desirable.
• Confined Space certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform back-to-back CHPP shutdowns and maintenance tasks.
• Fabrication and fitting work as part of the shutdown crew.
• Travel from Mackay to site and back as required.

Boilermaker Rates:

• Day Shift: $70 per hour
• Night Shift: $75 per hour

About the Role

You will be part of our experienced shutdown team completing maintenance and fabrication work across a range of major mining sites.

The role includes:

• Back-to-back CHPP shutdowns
• Floating crew opportunities
• Lifestyle roster options
• Drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) work
• Mackay-based industrial work, including sugar mills
• Supporting clients including BHP, Glencore, Thiess, Peabody, and more
• Working across multiple sites throughout the Bowen Basin
