Job summary

MacKellar Group seeks an experienced Boilermaker for a permanent on-site maintenance role at Middlemount Mine. You will participate in design, fabrication and maintenance of heavy earthmoving equipment, including safe hot work and elevated tasks.

The role demands post-trade mine site experience, a current Standard 11 and CBM (or willingness to obtain), and a Queensland driver licence. Meals, camp accommodation, PPE provided; 7/7 day/night roster.

• Boilermaker trade certificate with post-trade mine site experience.
• Experience with heavy earthmoving equipment (mobile plant).
• Current Standard 11 and CBM (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Involved with design and fabrication for machine maintenance, including hazardous hot work and working at heights.
• Ensure planned repairs and maintenance are completed on time and within cost targets.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and collaborate with teams to implement solutions.
• Promote and adhere to a strong safety culture on site.

We are seeking experienced Boilermakers to join our growing and well-established operation at Middlemount Mine.

Your new role

Secure a permanent opportunity within our on-site maintenance department, working a 7/7 day/night shift roster your duties include;

• Be involved with all areas of design and fabrication for machine maintenance, including hazardous hot work, confined spaces and working at heights
• Ensure planned repairs and maintenance are executed within time and cost requirements
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work within teams to develop and implement solutions
• Be committed to adhering and promoting a strong safety culture.

What you'll need to succeed

• A Boilermaker trade certificate with post-trade experience on a mine site
• Experience with heavy earth moving equipment (mobile plant)
• Current Standard 11 and CBM (or willingness to obtain)
• A current Queensland driver licence
