Job summary

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking experienced Boilermaker Welders for shutdown works in the Bowen Basin. You will perform structural repairs, fabrication and welding tasks in a mining environment on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, with 12-hour shifts.

Successful candidates must pass a weld test prior to commencement and hold a Trade Qualification as a Boilermaker/Metal Fabricator, current Coal Board Medical, Standard 11 Induction, a valid Driver's Licence, and up-to-date Working at Heights

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced Boilermaker Welders for shutdown works in the Bowen Basin. Working a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, you will be responsible for carrying out structural repairs, fabrication and welding tasks in a mining environment. Successful candidates will be required to complete a weld test prior to commencement. Employees will depart Mackay on Tuesday afternoon, mobilise to camp and commence work Wednesday morning, working 12-hour shifts throughout the roster cycle.
