Job summary

Rapid Crushing & Screening Pty Ltd in Mackay, Queensland is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our team. This role focuses on fabrication, repairs and maintenance of our fleet of plant and equipment.

Carry out high-quality boilermaking and fabrication on crushing equipment, read engineering drawings, and weld with MIG/TIG. You will work with the area manager to meet production schedules while maintaining health and safety and delivering quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Boilermaker with a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication.
• Minimum 5 years post-trade experience in boilermaking.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Australian work rights and driver's licence are essential.

Job description

Rapid Crushing & Screening Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Boilermakers to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. This is an opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to play an important role in the fabrication, repairs & maintenance of our fleet of modern plant and equipment.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out high-quality boilermaking and fabrication work on crushing equipment and associated machinery
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications & job requirements to ensure accurate and efficient completion of work
• Using a variety of welding equipment, power tools & hand tools to produce quality workmanship
• Working closely with the area manager to achieve production schedules and project deadlines
• Maintaining high standards of quality control while following all workplace health and safety requirements

What we're looking for

• Relevant boilermaking qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/ welding)
• 5 years post-trade experience working as a Boilermaker, preferably within the mining or heavy industry
• Strong welding capabilities, with the ability to weld in multiple positions and utilise various welding processes
• Demonstrated experience with MIG and TIG welding is essential
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality work
• Good mechanical problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively both independently and within a team
• Australian work rights are essential for this position
• A current and valid drivers licence
• HRWL (LF) and others are desirable
