Job summary

Pearl Recruitment Group is seeking two experienced Boilermaker/Welders to join our client’s Welshpool workshop in Western Australia. The role focuses on MIG welding, fabrication and assembly of RC drill rig components used in the mining and exploration sector.

You will read drawings, operate fabrication machinery and tools, complete rebuilds and repairs, and work as part of a team to deliver high-quality rigs.

Qualifications

• A recognised Australian Boilermaker / Fabrication trade qualification.
• Previous experience in MIG welding and fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and detailed work instructions.
• Experience with assembly and fitting of fabricated components.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Mining, drilling, heavy equipment or manufacturing experience highly regarded.
• Rigging/Dogging ticket highly regarded, but not essential.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screen.

Job description

Our client is a leading Australian and US manufacturer and supplier to the mining industry, specialising in the manufacture, rebuild, maintenance and servicing of Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling rigs used across the exploration sector.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking x2 experienced Boilermaker / MIG Welders to join their Welshpool team.

About the Role

As a Boilermaker / Welder, you will be responsible for the fabrication, welding and assembly of components used on high-quality RC drill rigs and associated equipment.

This is a hands-on role suited to a Boilermaker who enjoys MIG welding, fabrication and mechanical assembly, with the opportunity to work on specialised drilling equipment used within the mining and exploration industry.

Your duties will include:

• Mainly MIG welding of drill rig components
• Fabricating and assembling components for RC drill rigs
• Assembling and fitting drill rig components and equipment
• Reading and interpreting drawings, technical manuals and work instructions
• Using a variety of hand tools, welding equipment and fabrication machinery
• Carrying out rebuilds, repairs and modifications as required
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety
• Working as part of a team to complete new builds and ongoing maintenance projects

Pay / Hours

• $65.00 per hour + super (Flat Rate)
• Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Optional overtime - typically 10-hour days
