Job summary

RPR Trades is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Boilermaker to advance into a leadership role on a Currumbin site. You will lead fabrication, coordinate maintenance, and mentor apprentices and boilermakers to achieve high-quality workmanship.

The role is temp-to-perm with progression to full-time employment. You will interpret drawings, manage digital records, and liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Monday-Thursday early shift with overtime as applicable.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Mechanical Engineering (Boilermaker/Welder) or higher.
• 5+ years of post-trade experience.
• Strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards (AS1554 & AS1657).

• Provide technical guidance and mentor apprentices and boilermakers.
• Allocate daily tasks, manage workflow, and ensure high-quality workmanship.

We are looking for a Leading Hand Boilermaker to join a team in Currumbin.

This is a temp-to-perm role with the goal of transitioning the employee to a full-time employee

Location: Currumbin

Duties of the role:

• Lead, coordinate, and perform fabrication, assembly, and plant maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor apprentices and boilermakers.
• Allocate daily tasks, manage workflow, and ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Interpret engineering drawings and manage digital maintenance records
• Organise materials, raise purchase orders where required, and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

• Cert III in Mechanical Engineering (Boilermaker/Welder) or higher.
• 5+ years of post-trade experience (ready for a step up!).
• Strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards (AS1554 & AS1657).

Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday 6.00 am to 2.10 pm, Friday 6.00 am to 12.00 pm

Pay Rates

$65.37 per hour
