Job summary

Engineering Trades Australia is seeking experienced Boilermakers and Heavy Fabricators for ongoing workshop opportunities in mining and heavy manufacturing. You will perform fabrication, repair and refurbishment of heavy components, and flux core welding (FCAW) on large steel structures.

Ideal candidates are trade qualified Boilermakers with strong fabrication skills, able to read drawings, and committed to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Boilermaker or Fabricator.
• Strong flux core welding experience on heavy components.
• Experience within mining/heavy industrial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out heavy fabrication, welding, repairs and modifications.

• Complete cutting, grinding, fitting and preparation work as required.

About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A recognised Boilermaker or Fabrication trade qualification
• Strong hands on flux core welding experience
• Previous heavy fabrication experience
• Experience working within mining, manufacturing, foundry or heavy industrial environments
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
• Reliable attitude and willingness to contribute to a long term team
• Ability to successfully complete a practical weld test

Shift Details

Day Shift: 7:00am to 3:00pm
Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm to 11:00pm

All successful candidates will commence on day shift with the potential to transition to afternoon shift as required.
