Applicants must be reliable, safety-minded and capable of reading engineering drawings. Roles include mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication, maintenance and project-based work across workshop and site environments.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate required for Boilermaker, Fitter Machinist or Mechanical Fitter
• Reliable and experienced trade professionals sought
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is beneficial

Souther Cross Welding & Fabrication – Bathurst NSW

Southern Cross Welding & Fabrication is seeking experienced and reliable Boilermakers, Fitter Machinists and Mechanical Fitters to join the team. Depending on your trade and experience, you may be involved in a variety of projects including mechanical fitting, maintenance and repairs, welding and fabrication, structural and general fabrication, pump maintenance and repairs, machinery repairs and modifications, preventative and breakdown maintenance, industrial shutdown and project work, and workshop and site-based work.

Applicants must be willing to undergo regular drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.

Key responsibilities

• Mechanical fitting, maintenance and repairs

About you

• Relevant trade certificate – Boilermaker, Fitter Machinist or Mechanical Fitter
• Confined Space Ticket (preferred not essential)
• Working at Heights Ticket (preferred not essential)
• EWP Ticket (preferred not essential)
• Current Driver's Licence
• Relevant industry experience
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and professional approach to work
