Job summary

New Venture Recruitment is seeking a skilled BMS commissioning engineer to lead testing and validation of building management systems on Australia’s premier data centre projects in Sydney. You will conduct functional testing, point-to-point checks, and I/O validation, coordinating with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure fault-free operation.

You should have hands-on experience with BMS platforms (Tridium Niagara, Schneider, Siemens or Honeywell), read electrical drawings, and support

Position

Reporting into the Commissioning Manager, this role will be responsible for commissioning, testing and validating BMS and mechanical systems across major data centre projects throughout Sydney.

Responsibilities

• BMS commissioning and functional testing
• Point-to-point checks
• I/O testing and validation
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Integrated systems testing
• Mechanical plant commissioning support
• Review of commissioning documentation and test scripts
• Client, contractor and stakeholder liaison
• Defect identification and close-out

You

To be successful, you will have previous experience commissioning BMS, HVAC controls or building services systems within commercial, critical infrastructure or data centre environments.

Ideal Experience

• BMS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Schneider, Siemens or Honeywell
• Chilled water, CRAH and CRAC systems
• Commissioning processes and documentation
• Reading electrical and controls drawings
• Working on live or mission-critical facilities
• Coordinating with mechanical and electrical contractors

Data centre experience would be highly regarded; however, candidates from strong commercial BMS commissioning backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
