Crossmuller is seeking a BMS Commissioning Engineer to support data centre projects across Sydney. You will test, validate and commission critical BMS, cooling and power systems before they go live, working with experienced Lead Commissioning Engineers.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering, strong troubleshooting skills and experience with PLC/SCADA and BMS platforms. You will document activities and collaborate with multiple stakeholders on site.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering.
• Experience with BMS, controls, automation or commissioning activities.
• Ability to follow test procedures and commissioning plans.

Responsabilités

• Deliver BMS commissioning activities across L1-L5 commissioning phases.
• Execute L4 Functional Testing and L5 Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
• Complete point-to-point testing of CRAHs, CDUs, FWUs, AHUs and chilled water systems.
• Verify field instrumentation and BMS interfaces to UPS, generators, switchboards, PDUs, chillers and power metering systems.
• Validate control sequences, alarms, trends, graphics and failover functionality.
• Troubleshoot commissioning issues and support defect resolution.
• Complete commissioning records, test sheets, defect close-out and handover documentation.
• Work closely with project teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

BMS Commissioning Engineer - Data Centres

Help Deliver Some of Australia's most critical infrastructure

We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of major data centre projects across Sydney.

Working alongside experienced Lead Commissioning Engineers, you'll play a hands-on role testing, validating and commissioning critical BMS, cooling and power systems before they go live.

This role will suit an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working through structured test procedures and delivering high-quality outcomes through attention to detail.

What you will do:

• Deliver BMS commissioning activities across L1-L5 commissioning phases
• Execute L4 Functional Testing and L5 Integrated Systems Testing (IST)

About You

• We're looking for someone who combines technical capability with a methodical, detail-focused approach to commissioning and testing.
• Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering
• Experience with BMS, controls, automation or commissioning activities
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability
• Ability to follow test procedures and commissioning plans accurately
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Exposure to PLC, Ignition SCADA, BMS or EMS platforms
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
• Willingness to work across Sydney project sites

Highly Regarded

• Data centre or critical infrastructure experience
• Schneider, Siemens, Honeywell or similar BMS platforms
• Experience with HVAC, chilled water or critical cooling systems
• Exposure to L4/L5 commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
