Austek Roads (ACT) is seeking a Senior Bitumen Sprayer Operator to join our team in Hume, ACT. This full-time local role focuses on safe, efficient application of bitumen to road surfaces and requires meticulous technique in line with project specifications.

You will operate and maintain spraying equipment, perform pre-op checks, monitor rates and temperatures, and work closely with the construction crew to keep projects on schedule. A strong safety mindset and solid teamwork are essential.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years experience operating bitumen sprayer trucks.
• Experience with Matthew Brother Sprayer.
• Must hold MC truck licence and Dangerous Goods Licence.
• White Card required.
• Experience with road surfacing plant and equipment.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Austek Roads (ACT) are seeking a skilled Senior Bitumen Sprayer Operator to join our team in Hume, ACT. This full-time local position is an integral part of our operations, responsible for the safe and efficient application of bitumen.

What you'll be doing

• Operate and maintain bitumen spraying equipment to apply bitumen to road surfaces
• Ensure accurate and consistent bitumen application as per project specifications
• Perform pre-operational checks and maintenance on all assigned equipment
• Monitor and adjust spray rates and temperatures to achieve desired results
• Work alongside the construction crew to coordinate bitumen application with other activities
• Identify and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years experience operating bitumen sprayer trucks and applying spray seals on road construction or maintenance projects
• Experience in Matthew Brother Sprayer
• MC truck licence
• Dangerous Goods Licence
• White Card (General Construction Induction)
• Experience operating relevant road surfacing plant such as sprayers, rollers, loaders or other construction equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, quality results
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the construction crew
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
