Austek Spray Seal Pty Ltd is seeking a Bitumen Spray Seal Labourer on a casual basis for on-site work in Luscombe, QLD. You will assist spray seal operators, prepare sites, operate basic tools, and help with traffic control and safety.

This hands-on role requires physical fitness, reliability, and a commitment to safety. Previous labouring experience is helpful but not essential; valid driver's licence is preferred and induction training may be provided.

Job description

Austek Spray Seal Pty Ltd is seeking a Bitumen Spray Seal Labourer to join our team on a casual basis. This position is based in Luscombe, QLD 4207 and offers an excellent opportunity. As a Spray Seal Labourer, you will play a vital role in supporting our spray sealing operations, assisting with road maintenance and construction projects. This role is hands-on and physically demanding, requiring a reliable, hardworking individual who is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship on site.

Key responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

• Assisting spray seal operators with the application of bituminous and aggregate materials to road surfaces
• Preparing work sites and ensuring they are clean and safe for operations to commence
• Operating and maintaining basic equipment and tools required for spray sealing projects
• Assisting with traffic control and site safety procedures to protect personnel and the public
• Loading, unloading and transporting materials to and from job sites
• Following health and safety protocols and reporting any hazards or incidents promptly
• Assisting with cleanup and site restoration after completion of spray seal work
• Working collaboratively with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to specification

• Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• A valid driver's licence
• Previous labouring experience in the trades and services industry is advantageous but not essential
• Induction training certification or willingness to obtain relevant certifications
