Job summary

NSW Health invites applications for a Temporary Part Time Technical Officer in Clinical Engineering at Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick. The role supports SESLHD’s biomedical equipment service across sites with repair, maintenance and safety testing in accordance with standards.

32 hours per week, salary packaging options and benefits apply. Applicants should have an Advanced Diploma in Electronic Engineering, strong fault-finding skills, IT/network knowledge and a NSW driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Advanced Diploma or equivalent in electronic engineering.
• Experience with electrical fault-finding and repair of biomedical equipment.
• Knowledge of IT networks and systems applied to medical devices.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of Australian and international medical equipment standards.
• Current NSW driver’s license with ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintenance and safety testing of biomedical equipment.
• Troubleshoot networking issues affecting medical devices.
• Deliver safe, effective and reliable devices for patient care.
• Work both independently and as part of the Clinical Engineering team.
