NSW Health is seeking a Biomedical Engineer at Grade 2 to support safe, reliable management of medical equipment across the Central Coast. You will work with Clinical Engineering and clinical/operational stakeholders to provide technical expertise and lead maintenance, commissioning and lifecycle programs.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, collaboration, and supervision/training of junior engineers, with strong focus on safety and timely delivery across services.

Competenze

• Experience in engineering analysis, problem-solving and troubleshooting of electronic systems and equipment.
• Extensive experience in testing, repairing, maintaining and managing a diverse range of medical equipment and complex medical systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clinical/technical teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Mansioni

• Provide technical expertise and support on medical equipment and related technologies.
• Carry out commissioning, calibration, maintenance, performance verification and inspections of medical equipment.
• Develop and maintain medical equipment management programs for lifecycle management.
• Support supervision, training and technical development of Biomedical Engineers and Technicians.
• Manage projects, equipment trials, recalls, investigations and service arrangements safely and efficiently.
