Job summary

Sirius People is seeking an experienced BIM Modeler to join our design team in Sydney or Melbourne. You will develop accurate 3D models and detailed 2D documentation, collaborating with engineers and project teams to move designs from concept to fabrication.

You'll use Revit and AutoCAD, manage coordination with stakeholders, and contribute to improved modelling workflows with Dynamo or Python. This is a full-time, permanent role reporting to the BIM Manager.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on BIM modelling experience.
• Australian Citizenship essential for NV1 security clearance.
• Relevant qualification in drafting, engineering or design.

BIM Modeler

Location: Sydney or Melbourne

Work Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Salary: $110,000-$115,000 + super

We’re looking for an experienced BIM Modeler to join a design team working on complex electrical and infrastructure projects across Sydney or Melbourne.

Reporting to the BIM Manager, you’ll develop accurate 3D models and detailed 2D documentation, collaborating with engineers, project managers, workshop teams and external partners to bring designs from concept through to fabrication and delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop high-precision 3D BIM models and 2D documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Identify and resolve coordination clashes with engineers, subcontractors and site teams.
• Maintain Revit families, templates and modelling standards across projects.
• Participate in client BIM coordination meetings and incorporate feedback into designs.
• Improve modelling workflows through process enhancements and automation using Dynamo or Python.

What We’re Looking For

• Australian Citizenship: Essential for eligibility to obtain NV1 security clearance.
• Experience: 4+ years of hands‑on BIM modelling experience.
• Technical Skills: Strong expertise in Revit, AutoCAD and BIM 360. Dynamo or Python experience is highly regarded.
• Industry Experience: Data centres, sheet metal or manufacturing environments will be highly regarded.
• Qualifications: Relevant qualification in drafting, engineering or design.
• Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent technical drawing comprehension and effective communication skills.
