Job summary

ConnectYou is seeking a BIM Modeller to join an established engineering team delivering complex electrical infrastructure projects. You will develop detailed 3D BIM models using Revit and produce coordinated drawings and documentation.

You will collaborate with structural, electrical, civil and multidisciplinary teams to ensure model accuracy, maintain standards, and manage revisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience as BIM Modeller, Structural BIM Modeller, or Revit Technician.
• Substation or data centre project experience is desirable.
• Strong practical experience using Revit is essential.
• Background in structural modelling and drafting.
• Experience producing coordinated 3D models and detailed drawings.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a BIM Modeller to join an established engineering team delivering complex electrical infrastructure projects.

The role will focus on developing and maintaining detailed 3D models and associated design documentation, working closely with structural, electrical and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the design and delivery process.

This position would suit someone with a structural modelling background who has strong Revit capability, ideally with previous experience across substations, data centres or other technically complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models using Revit.
• Produce coordinated structural models, drawings and associated design documentation.
• Support the development of models for substations, data centres and electrical infrastructure projects.
• Work closely with structural, electrical, civil and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Coordinate models across different engineering disciplines.
• Produce plans, sections, elevations and detailed drawings from BIM models.
• Maintain model accuracy, drawing standards and project documentation.

Required Experience

• Previous experience working as a BIM Modeller, Structural BIM Modeller, Revit Technician or similar.
• Previous experience working on substation or data centre projects would be highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong practical experience using Revit is essential.
• Background in structural modelling and drafting.
• Experience producing coordinated 3D models and detailed construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Ability to interpret structural and engineering drawings, specifications and design information.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Design, Drafting, BIM or a related discipline.
